Alhamdulillahi robbil aalameen. It is heart-warming to pull through to the end of a successful First Term of 2023/2024 Academic year. We thank you for the commitment and support you offered to our school during the term. We are proud to have you as part of our growth. We also welcome the new families that have joined Salamat Olaniyan College, you are most welcome!

FIRST TERM APPRAISAL
As a school , with the New Methods of Teaching, we have registered a lot of successes this term. We are glad to inform you that there has been a revision in our curriculum and teaching methodology (Strictly Students Centred Teaching Methodology).This is aimed at producing a holistic child. Despite some challenges, we thank Allah this term, for enabling us to effectively execute most of our goals ,if not all.However, we look forward to better cooperation and more success next term come January.
The secondary school adopted Class Teachers Managers Style, this is to prevent bad attitudes currently in schools. The method is also geared towards better completion and monitoring of the topics and subjects by the class managers. Alhamdulillah for the success so far . We solicit for your cooperation. From time to time they will need their parents phone or data hotspot for their laptop to check topics online or YouTube videos after school. However, please monitor what they do and switch off hotspots after use. Change your password often to control the usage.
NEW METHOD OF TEACHING AND REQUIREMENTS
Our staff undergo continuous training in building a holistic child, by incorporating technology and other devices in teaching. For achievement of this, each pupil should have his or her personal learning materials ( textbooks and other learning materials)
With continuous training, our staff have been able to incorporate technology in teaching to match the Digital Revolution that Education is going through. WAEC is starting computer based test this JANUARY, NECO will also start very soon. JAMB started CBT long ago. Any school that fails to incorporate this in their learning will be left behind. OUR COLLEGE IS THE ONLY SECONDARY SCHOOL IN OYO, OGBOMOSO AND EVEN OKE OGUN that have JAMB accredited CBT centre. This is one of our unique qualities. OUR STUDENTS SHOULD NOT BE LEFT BEHIND Please get a laptop for them to ease our training. If you ask the students they will tell you that we use laptops to teach. It will not be effective if the children don’t have their own.
For effective Students Centred Teaching Methodology, every student is expected to have access to personal resources (Textbooks, laptops and other things that facilitate personal learning). IT IS SAD TO MENTION THAT SOME PARENTS DESPITE OUR CALLS AND EFFORT DID NOT BUY THE REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS. Please we cannot be successful without adequate cooperation from parents. As the children take a break let us keep them busy because learning does not only happen at school. PLEASE SHOW THEM EXEMPLARY CHARACTER BECAUSE BIRDS CANNOT FLY WITH A WING. The home and the school must be complimentary.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS
For uniformity in school dressing, parents are advised to contact the school for their children’s uniform. Any uniform sewn outside will not be accepted.
We noticed certain blue colours, slimm-fitted trousers and skirts on some of the secondary school students, this will not be allowed in our school. Based on this, we advise parents to visit the school to purchase new school uniforms for students that fall into this category.
Please, purchase the Sportswear which is expected to be worn on Wednesdays. It is available at Bisi Stores in Owode. Contact the school for the School batch. REMEMBER THIS IS GOING TO BE USED FOR THE INTER HOUSE SPORT COMING UP BY SECOND TERM.
Similarly, the Jalabiya White for the Boys and Black for the Girls should be purchased or sewn outside, and purchase the school batch from the school to fix on it. PLEASE WE WANT ALL CHILDREN TO APPEAR WITH CORRECT UNIFORM EVERY DAY. Any secondary school students who come to school with the wrong uniform will be disciplined heavilly. PLEASE HELP US TO IMPROVE OUTLOOK OF THE SCHOOL.
FINAL YEAR STUDENTS (SS3)
The management of the College recommends all SS3 Students to be camped in the school hostel from the beginning of the second term. This is to enable them to concentrate on their studies and prepare better for external examinations using the school’s standard facilities. We are targeting getting all of them to have good garages in all the exams. We solicit the cooperation of the parents in this regard. Please contact the Head of School for the details. May Allah grant them success and make them the coolness of our eyes.
PUNCTUALITY IN SCHOOL
The school appeals to all parents to ensure that the primary school children/wards are in school by 7:40a.m. because School Assembly programmes are part of compulsory education for all students
A gentle reminder that all secondary students are expected to be in school by 7:30a.m, so as to meet up with their morning duties and participate in assembly programmes,which is part of compulsory education.

We are glad to announce the approval of our Private technical College. The only PRIVATE TECHNICAL COLLEGE IN OYO. This is part of the uniqueness of our school. We therefore invite your children that have finished JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL to join our technical College. Please share this information with your friend.
We are glad to announce that it is a great opportunity for Senior Secondary Students in SALAMAT. They have the opportunity of picking a department in the technical field, thereby receiving technical College along with the normal Secondary School. This is available for our SS 1 and 2 Students. Practical classes are scheduled for 3 to 5 pm for the Technical Subjects Chosen by them. They will be guided in their selection.
They will have the opportunity to take the NABTEB exam in addition to NECO and WAEC.
